LOFT Eyewear Shows Announces Fall 2025 Event in Santa Monica

NEW YORK—Organizers for LOFT Eyewear Shows have announced that LOFT is returning to the West Coast this fall with a relocation from San Francisco to Santa Monica, Calif. The event, scheduled for October 24-25, 2025, will take place at The Santa Monica Post Office, a landmark building located in downtown Santa Monica just a few blocks from the beachfront, show organizers said. The post office, originally created as a product of President Franklin Roosevelt’s Public Works Administration as a component of the New Deal, was closed by the USPS in 2012. It has since been revitalized and is now used as an event space.

Moving forward, LOFT will continue to have two annual events: one in New York, March 5-7, 2026, and one in Santa Monica this fall, show organizers told VMAIL.

Richard Mewha, founder of LOFT Eyewear Shows, said, “When looking for a location for our events, we seek spaces that resonate with our design aesthetic and that are conducive to creating an atmosphere that encourages the connections that we so love about these events. One of our core values for LOFT is going beyond a trade show experience. We feel that the future of these events hinges on creating an environment for not only buying carefully curated eyewear, but also for exchanges of common interests, learning about the creative aspects of individual designers, and of course, having fun while we are at it.


“With this in mind, we researched and found this stunning Art Deco space, right in the heart of downtown Santa Monica, close to the beach, great restaurants and hotels. Santa Monica is also a central location for West Coast accounts, with easy access from LAX, and the weather in October should be great,” Mewha said.

“We have been pioneering a West Coast event for many years now in response to the growing appetite for independent eyewear shows," said Louis Fullagar, LOFT's marketing director. "After our extremely successful New York event in March, we discussed with our key partners suitable cities on the West Coast to continue to enhance our presence and independent philosophy. We have all really enjoyed the San Francisco venue and experience but were keen to try something completely new. We are thrilled to be moving to Santa Monica and are already buoyed by the early excitement surrounding this event. We already know our vendors and their customers are very keen for shows like ours that have a completely different and relaxed vibe to the major conference type traditional events of the past.”

This year’s Santa Monica event will take place over the weekend of October 24-25, 2025 and will be open for an introduction and welcome party on Friday evening followed by the eyewear show all day on Saturday. LOFT will include a barista, catering and afternoon beverages. Show organizers said parking will be available at the venue and in the surrounding area.
